The DK2 OPT118 Trencher is a heavy-duty gas-powered trenching machine designed for installing irrigation lines, electrical conduit, drainage systems, and other underground utilities. It is powered by a 7 HP, 208cc Kohler Command PRO CH270 engine and can create trenches up to 18 inches deep and 4 inches wide.
The trencher uses a direct-drive chain system with 21 carbide-alloy high-pressure quick-change teeth mounted on 3/8-inch plow plates. The cutting chain operates at approximately 400 RPM and travels at up to 180 ft/min, helping the machine cut efficiently through soil.
A 6-inch direct-drive side off-load auger moves excavated soil away from the trench while the machine operates. The OPT118 also provides five trench-depth positions, allowing the operator to adjust the cutting depth for different projects.
The machine features 15-inch pneumatic wheels with auto-lock capability in reverse, an adjustable handle, and a release-and-stop safety hand grip. Its heavy-gauge steel construction is designed for repeated outdoor and professional use.
